Kosmia Loizidou has received a BSc in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering as well as a minor degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Cyprus, in 2016. She is currently an MSc student at the University of Cyprus, holding the position of a Special Scientist at the ‘KIOS Research and Innovation Centre of Excellence’. Her research interests are Biomedical Engineering, Bio-inspire Networks and clinical health with a specific focus in image processing, pattern recognition and machine learning, in order to detect and predict micro-calcifications in temporal mammograms for breast cancer detection.
