Pantelis was born in Athens, Greece, in 1985. He received a Diploma in Chemical Engineering in 2007 and an MSc with honours in Applied Mathematics in 2009 from NTU Athens. In December 2012, he defended his PhD thesis titled "Modelling and Control of Biological and Physiological Systems" at NTU Athens. In January 2013 he joined the Dynamical Systems, Control and Optimization (DYSCO) research unit at IMT Lucca as a post-doctoral Fellow. Afterwards, he worked as a post-doctoral researcher at ESAT, KU Leuven. He is currently a post-doctoral researcher at KIOS Center of Excellence, University of Cyprus. His research focuses on stochastic model predictive control and numerical optimization for large-scale problems with applications in water networks, microgrids, signal processing, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics and autonomous driving. His research has been supported by several EU projects (OpenTox, EFFINET, DISIRE), national research projects and industrial projects.
